These lovely Self Watering Animal Planter carry straws in their mouths and herb gardens in their backpack. They hang comfortably on the edge of any glass or mug. When their plants are in need of a drink, these thirsty animals take a nourishing swig through the straw with just the right amount! There’s no need to water daily, just your own plant pets which will look after themselves.

These little planters are so cute and simple to set up. They come with everything you need to grow Clover, Wild Strawberry, Basil and Mint. Each animal planter comes with approximately 30 seeds, I didn’t actually count as the seeds are far too tiny, lol. I’ve included my own instructions below and I hope someone finds this helpful.1. In a small bowl; add 4 teaspoons of warm water. Lay the compressed disc of soil in the warm water. The soil will expand, absorbing all the water.2. Make sure the white cotton part of the straw is fully visible and positioned towards the bottom of the pot so the soil can be placed on top of it. This should put the bend of the straw in the animals mouth.3. Once the water has been absorbed into the soil, and you confirmed the straw is positioned correctly, add the soil to the ceramic pot.4. Use a toothpick to gently break up and loosen the soil.5. Place 3-5 seeds on top of the soil. I always add 5 but this is entirely your choice.6. Pat the seeds down gently to ensure they have good contact with the soil. Your seeds should start to germinate within days if they get ample sunlight. Be sure to keep the soil moist by feeding your animal enough water.
